NOFX’s Punk In Drublic 2022 takes over Ventura

Brew Ha Ha’s Punk In Drublic hosted a great lineup of some legendary punk bands! First up for the Ventura stop, since this was a traveling tour, was newcomers Dry Socket, kicking off the show at 1pm on the side stage with some upbeat, highly intense punk rock to get the day started Then, female-fronted pop punk band The Last Gang started off the main Punk In Drublic Stage. Next was a band I was not familiar with, TV Party, a soft and weird pop punk style band from right here in Ventura.

After TV Party, it was time for local Nardcore legends Dr. Know and Ill Repute: they both have some crazy punkin’ energy and it was great watching two of my favorite local bands play on a festival with other genre heavyweights.

It was an amazing thing to witness.

Lagwagon, another legendary local band, joined the stage around midway through the event and kept everyone dancing with their lively, chaotic ska-infused punk. Face To Face, an OC favorite with their high-energy skate punk show, was one of the bands I was most looking forward to seeing. Then there was TSOL, which has long been a favorite of mine. The way the band seems and sounds makes you think they’re a laidback group, but once they start playing, they’re anything but! Before the long-awaited headliners NOFX came on the main stage, attendees were blessed with performances by a couple of more funk favorites, Face To Face and Pennywise

After a long day of moshing and beer tasting, it was finally time for festival founders NOFX to take the stage. As soon as the band was on, the audience erupted in applause. Frontman Fat Mike had some hilarious banter, making fun of the bands that previously played before him. Overall, it was the perfect way to cap off a fantastic Saturday in Ventura and it was undoubtedly an event for all punk fans! We look forward to seeing you again next year!
