Roots On 66 2019: Day One (& pre-party!!)

On weekend of September 28th, Roots On 66 Festival in Victorville, California brought reggae music to the high desert. With more than 40 bands connected people through reggae over the weekend, it was like a big backyard party with all your friends. The weekend started off with a pre-party in the camping area, with Elihu opening, followed by Skunkdub and Inna Vision. Dan Kelly closed out the night in the camping area, with everyone dancing and trying to stay warm.

Saturday, and the official Day One of the fest, started out in the camping area with Brian Johnson kicking things off. The rest of the day included sets from Wasted Noise, KNG MKR, SGV Vibes, Ireality, Spliff Vision, The Steppas, Capo Kelly, Twenty Dollar Prophets, No Kings, Arise Roots, SYNRGY, Eureka Sound, After the Smoke, Marlon Asher, Th3rd Coast Roots, Mike Love and Ital Vibes. The night was capped off by by Fortunate Youth before the afterparty led the good vibes well into the night with another performance from Brian Johnson and Riddims.
