Steve Aoki, Nelly & Flo Rida surprise guest at Missouri’s 1st Phorm Summer Smash

Despite the heat warnings, the rain delays and lightning strikes dancing their way across the bleak ominous heavens, the exact definition of ‘The Show Must Go On’ was put into play for the 1st Phorm Summer Smash Company Picnic on June 19th in St. Louis, MO. Spinning throughout the waves of midday sun was local music-maker DJ Deks, providing house beats to keep the vibes alive. After a brief rain delay, Flo Rida was ready to bring the noise and start the rest of the night off right!

Apparently, Flo Rida brought the party a little too much, considering that was when the lightning decided to join the party again, sadly cutting his set in half.

Scrambling to make the next two surprise acts happen, the gods must have wanted to see this hometown boy make his return, because the skies cleared and the PA fired up for Nelly! From the Lou with pride, the rapper lit up the stage with a killer combo of all of his singles that anyone from Eastern Missouri knows all too well. Wrapping up the night was the biggest surprise of all: cake-slinging, champagne-popping, world-renowned DJ… the one and only Steve Aoki! Absolutely destroying the stage with his particular brand of party, this record-spinning mastermind left the crowd totally satisfied, covered in icing and booze, and completely over the insaneness that led up to the climax of such an epic party.
