Through The Roots rock St. Petersburg, FL

On the first Friday each month, the heart of downtown becomes St. Petersburg’s biggest block party. ‘First Friday St. Pete’ is a showcase for local bands with drinks and awesome food; it makes it one of Florida’s most exciting cities to visit. Right in the middle of October’s block party, Jannus Live welcomes Cali reggae bands Through The Roots, with special guest Pacific Dub, both exploding with so much energy, everyone was dancing, singing and screaming with excitement.

After the show, both bands came out to hang out with the fans, sign posters and take pictures.

Pacific Dub kicked it off with some of our favorites like “Hold Me Down”, “Fly Away” and “Riptide.” These guys are so awesome that they even surprised their audience and came out to meet everyone after their set! We can’t wait to have them back again. Check out their latest release Hold Me Down and catch them live.

Illuminent CBD and SMKFLWR brought everyone together at Jannus Live to get “Higher” with Through The Roots and it was amazing. The boys lit up the night with an awesome light show that moved along beautifully with their music. Through The Roots is led by lead vocalist Evan Hawkins, one of the rising young stars in the Cali reggae music scene and, boy, did he bring energy to the stage! Also in the band is Taylor Boatwright on drums/vocals, Brady O’Rear on keys, Corrick Watson on lead guitar and Eston “Ekona” Ravey on bass. TTR played some of our favorites like “Catch A Flight”, “Bloodshot Eyes” and “Nothing Else Matters.” After the show, both bands came out to hang out with the fans, sign posters and take pictures; they blew fans’ minds with how humble and down to earth they all were! If you haven’t already checked out their new album Arrival, do it — it’s perfect from start to finish! This is one tour you do not want to miss.
