Day Two — let’s go!
First off, kudos to Wonderfront for their festival companion app! I’ve never seen a more polished festival app that was intuitive, fast, reactive and a must-have for the festival-goer. I started my day with the app and a cup of Joe. Selecting all the acts I wanted to see then prioritizing them couldn’t have been easier. The map feature was fantastic: outlining not only the stages and how to get there, but all the other amenities, like where to find food, drinks and bathrooms.
If my only gripe was not being able to be in two places at the same time, it was going to be a great day.
Now that my day was planned, I packed my camera gear and headed to the downtown waterfront. The sun was out, not a cloud in sight, the warm sun mixed with a cool breeze to create the perfect atmosphere for what was going to be a stacked Saturday of music and good vibes.
Common Kings, The Vandals, Pennywise, Vince Staples and Migos were just a few of the must-see groups on my list. Bucket list band, Pennywise, is a can’t-miss, but the buzz was on Migos. If my only gripe was not being able to be in two places at the same time, it was going to be a great day.
