Hardcore music festival, Outbreak Fest, brings its 10th celebration to Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester, UK from Friday, June 24th through Sunday, June 26th! The festival has previously occurred in Leeds, UK in a one or two-day festival format, depending on the year. This will be the first time that it will occur in Manchester and span three full days, making it the largest iteration in Outbreak Fest’s history!
The 10th anniversary installment is especially exciting, as it includes headlining performances from bands that have been dominating the U.S. hardcore scene for the last couple years, including Turnstile, Knocked Loose, Deafheaven and Touché Amoré. The supporting performances are just as impressive as the headliners, with performances from hardcore fan-favorites Basement, Citizen, Youth of Today, Terror, Vein.fm, Madball, Incendiary, Higher Power and so many more.
Alongside the music performances of the festival, there will be skateboarding areas, live podcasts, talks and panels, an art and photography exhibition, an independent marketplace and food vendors available to attendees.
The festival has an age restriction of 14+ and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Weekend tickets and single-day tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are still available although it’s nearly 30 days out! Outbreak Fest has partnered with Twickets, an ethical ticketing platform that allows users to sell any additional tickets at the price they paid for them or less, to provide attendees with a trusted option for resale tickets, too. Original tickets, as well as a link to the resale platform, is included on the Outbreak Fest website.
Although there aren’t any festival official accommodation options, there are plenty of hotels and Airbnbs in the area, ranging from $20 to $160 per night. Along with Uber, taxis and shuttle services from the hotels, attendees can get to the festival grounds via public transport. The Bowlers Exhibition Centre is conveniently located near the 150, 18 and X50 bus stops, the Northern train stop and Red Line light rail stop. The transportation app Citymapper is a great resource for finding the quickest and most efficient travel routes for all transport methods within Manchester.
There will be a special Thursday pre-show event taking place at the Bowlers Exhibition Centre (the same venue as the weekend festival). This pre-show event will feature co-headlining sets from Stick To Your Guns and Counterparts, as well as performances by Seeyouspacecowboy and Static Dress. There are discounted tickets for the pre-show available to anyone with a weekend pass.
If four days of back-to-back music aren’t enough, you can catch some of the Saturday and Sunday acts in Hackney, London at an Outbreak Fest-sponsored show the Wednesday before the festival. Located on the east side of London, just four hours away from Manchester, the show will be taking place at EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) with performances by Angel Du$T, Drug Church, Mannequin Pussy and Anxious.
