Alternative reggae rock fest Dry Diggings is officially set to return! After taking a forced hiatus from the scene due to COVID, it seems Dry Diggings is still kicking, with its first major round of artists announced for this upcoming August 27th and 28th. Now, don’t get thinking that the pandemic didn’t have an impact on this small, yet mighty fest… Dry Diggings has dropped back down from three to two days since 2019. Knowing the power it packs, we’re far from worried that two days will be any less momentous and memory-filled.
If there is any way to celebrate the end of summer, it’s at Dry Diggings surrounded by friends and smiling faces.
A sister fest of Monterey’s Cali Roots Festival, Dry Diggings is in Year 6 at the El Dorado Fairgrounds in Placerville, California. It’s a place where the line between camping and concert blend almost indistinguishably. And, what a concert 2021 will be! As of today, Dry Diggings has revealed its first artists on the bill for August and — considering its only round one — the names are incredibly topnotch! From GRAMMY-nominees Common Kings to Cali reggae veterans The Expendables and Tomorrows Bad Seeds, DD 2021 means business. Lest we forget Dirty Heads headlining! Combining hip hop with reggae, Dirty Heads always deliver a high-energy set of major mainstream hit after major mainstream hit. Like more of an old-school reggae sound? Arise Roots will have you satiated, alongside the world music-meets-roots reggae brothers of Indubious. NorCal bands Thrive and Two Peace collide with SoCal’s Sensi Trails, with even more bands to be announced!
Naturally, this is a camping festival that encourages onsite festivities and fellowship. Tickets are already on sale, so what are you waiting for? Grab those passes before they sell out!!
