Get ready for Life Is Beautiful 2018

For the past six years, there has been one fall festival that has not only reigned at the top of the live entertainment list, but influenced the likes of KAABOO Del Mar, Coachella and beyond. Situated in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, Life Is Beautiful Music and Arts Festival has revolutionized Fremont Street, adding music, art, comedy and extraordinary cuisine to the naturally thrilling Sin City experience. Before the festival came into existence, Fremont Street sat dormant, rundown and almost forgotten. Fremont is the locals’ spot – a place where the real Vegas resides – a few blocks adjacent to the touristy clubs the infamous Las Vegas Strip has to offer night after night. Without proper care, Fremont fell into disarray, that is, until Life Is Beautiful founders felt that it was a pristine spot to host one of the biggest and best festivals of this generation. After erecting building-wide murals and interactive art installations, Fremont Street, once dirty and decrepit, is now a sight to behold and back in action as, arguably, the number one place to be whether you are attending the festival in September or simply in town for the weekend.

…stretching a full 18 blocks, the essence of Life Is Beautiful overwhelms you.

The minute you walk into the festival grounds, stretching a full 18 blocks, the essence of Life Is Beautiful overwhelms you. There are Cirque Du Soleil acrobats, people on stilts, dancers, lights and enough acts to keep you distracted for days. Three days, to be exact. In 2017, Life Is Beautiful hosted 78 music sets, 19 artists, 14 comedians and over 20 speakers – for LIB believes culminating ‘Ideas’ is just as important as escapism. Let’s live in the now whilst building a better future for tomorrow. But, first, lemme take a selfie. With photo ops covering the entire arena, it’s hard not to celebrate how life is beautiful as you go.

And, like previous years, the 2018 lineup is out of this world, featuring a collection of artists spanning literally every music genre ever invented. From pop to rap to EDM to reggae, LIB covers all bases, with past headliners being Gorillaz, Chance the Rapper, Foo Fighters and a myriad of other A-list artists. The 6th Annual is no different, with I-can’t-feel-my-face vibes from The Weeknd, alt legends Arcade Fire and Florence + the Machine closing down the three nights of September 21st-24th. Additional artists include renowned rappers and hip hop artists like Travis Scott, N.E.R.D. and T-Pain. Southern California reggae sensations Tribal Seeds are on the bill, along with the worldly semi-housey goodness of Santigold. There are almost too many to list in this fashion, so let’s group it all together: DJ Snake, Death Cab for Cutie, Tyler the Creator, Justice, Odesza, Bastille, Miguel, St. Vincent, RL Grime, ASAP Ferg, Sylvan Esso, The Neighbourhood, Goldlink, First and Kit, Jungle, What So Not, Blackbear, Flight Facilities, Sabrina Claudio, The AUV, Sofi Tukker, The Drums, 3Lau, Robert Delong, DVBBS, Denzel Curry, Sir Sly, Sam Feldt, Welshly Arms, Elohim, Elderbrook, Fletcher, Yungblud, Morgan Saint, Wallows, Graves, Brasstracks, Neil Frances, O Wildly, Galantis, CHVRCHES, Foster the People, French Montana, Cold War Kids, Daniel Caesar, Alison Wonderland, Blood Orange, Wolfmother, Cashmere Cat, Gramatik, Lizzo, The Presets, Lane 8, Bazzi, AJR, Ravyn Lenae, Superorganism, Party Favor, Two Feet, Hinds, Mt. Joy, Amy Shark, Chet Porter, Knox Fortune, Mikky Ekko, Lovelytheband, Harry Hudson, Young Bombs, The Dirty Hooks and Mike Xavier. It’s hard to go over-the-top in Vegas, but this lineup lands you pretty close.

With the festival going down in a mere few months, the culinary and comedy lineups have yet to be released although attendees won’t have to wait too much longer to find out. If the last five years of world-famous chefs and top comedic acts gracing the LIB stages doesn’t give you a general idea of what’s to come, then you’ll just have to grab your tickets and find out for yourself this September. Speaking of ideas, Life Is Beautiful combines the most intellectual minds around the world to promote unity in thinking and action to make the world a better place. It’s not all about the now; it can be about forever. The 2018 speaker list is also TBA, so check back soon to the LIB site to learn more.

Weekend passes are now available for general admission and VIP, and make sure to book your hotel stay soon! With limited hotels around the downtown area, you don’t want to damper your festival weekend commuting halfway across the city due to lack of planning.
