If you were to ask most people living outside of Nashville what type of music the city is known for, more often than not, you would hear the reply “country”.
While this fact is certainly ingrained into the hearts and minds of most people living in the city, what’s lesser known about Nashville is its thriving underground rock community. One of the rising indie stars of this burgeoning music scene is Matt Wagner, aka MNERVA.
Known to most of his fans and peers for his high energy live shows, his infectiously catchy songs and his insane skills as a drummer. I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Matt where we chatted about his thoughts on the Nashville rock scene, his upcoming single “Love Song” (Out 11/11) and his thoughts on social media’s effect on the music industry.
