Adored island artist Kolohe Kai is back, announcing a new single “Catching Lightning”. Growing in popularity, particularly in Hawaii, Kolohe Kai’s fourth full-length album Summer To Winter garnered him ‘Album Of The Year’ at the 2019 Island Music Awards. Now, with much more to give, Kolohe Kai follows suit with a taste of his forthcoming EP due out later this year.

At least, that’s what they say… Kolohe Kai believes it hook and sinker, evident as the main thesis of “Catching Lightning”. The feel-good love song has a laidback, island vibe that fuses with an RnB beat so well, you don’t even notice the two colliding. For, love is what life is about! Reflecting on the road before a great love, Kolohe Kai praises the fact he has found his life partner. He was “patiently waiting, but things were fallin’ through”… if he only knew what fate had in store just around the corner. Kolohe Kai reiterates that not giving up on love led him to his destiny: “The entire song hangs on the foundation of these words. Great things, like true love, will happen at the ‘right’ time. Life doesn’t revolve around our schedule. We have to be patient and, eventually, we will see that the love of a lifetime came at the perfect time. Overall, it takes being at the right place and time to ‘catch lightning’ and find genuine lasting love.”
