Louisville’s Louder Than Life is larger than ever for 2022

Louisville’s Louder Than Life is larger than ever for 2022

The Louder Than Life 2022 lineup has finally been announced!! This is said to be the festival’s biggest year yet and rightfully so, because the lineup is just… wow! The fest will return to the Highland Festival Grounds in Louisville, Kentucky on September 22th through 25th.

Four full days of INSANE rock bands?!?

The lineup includes headliners Slipknot, KISS, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Shinedown, Lamb of God, Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Alice in Chains, Nine Inch Nails, Bring Me The Horizon, Evanescence and Incubus. Then there’s support from Halestorm, Tenacious D, Yungblud, Highly Suspect, Ministry, Nothing More, Spiritbox, Lilith Czar, Mastodon, In This Moment, Clutch, Jinjer, Gwar, In Flames, Helmet, Crown the Empire, Vended (Corey Taylor‘s son’s band), Chevelle, Dance Gavin Dance, Body Count, Theory of A Deadman, Sevendust, We Came As Romans, Papa Roach, Architects, The Pretty Reckless, Bad Religion, Jelly Roll, The Struts, Anti-Flag and so many more!!

Five days leading up to the big announcement, the Louder Than Life socials started posting very cryptic videos that dropped hints as to who would be part of the lineup. They posted four videos in total of a horse race. The videos were fast and choppy, so you had to have a good eye to catch the clues. I’ll admit, I was that person who watched the videos over and over again, taking multiple screenshots to try and catch any little flashes of hints. I was blown away by the creativity of people in the comment sections of the post! I saw one person say, “There were four horses in the first cut, so I’m thinking ‘The Four Horseman’, so Metallica?” Sadly, no Metallica this year, but people like that really opened my mind and made me look more critically!

The most exciting part of the lineup for me was the fact that Bring Me The Horizon and Yungblud were playing on the same day! Bring Me The Horizon has a song “Obey” that features Yungblud; the song is played at almost every Bring Me concert, but rarely do we get to see the two perform this song live together. Since the song came out, I’ve been dying to see them perform it!

All passes to the fest are still available, but be quick, because they are going fast! You can get a single-day GA or VIP, or get the whole four days GA or VIP. They offer different price levels for the passes, so the quicker you are to getting your tickets, the more money you save. There is also a layaway program available where you can get your passes for only $10 down at time of purchase and just make monthly payments up until July. RV camping options are still available, but car camping is already sold out. You can still join the waitlist for car camping, though. If you are not too keen about camping and are more of a glamper, like myself, there’re plenty of hotels close to the grounds that still have availability.

This fest is known for featuring whiskey, craft beer, gourmet food and multiple different exhibits. For those interested, be on the lookout for the full secondary entertainment lineup to be announced later this summer. Be sure to grab your tickets for this year’s Louder Than Life Fest, because it’s one you don’t want to miss! For more information, visit the links below or www.louderthanlifefestival.com.
