Mötley Crüe drops off Maryland rock fest due to health concerns

Mötley Crüe has officially dropped off the lineup for Maryland’s Boardwalk Rock Festival happening next month on May 17th and 18th in Ocean City. Per Boardwalk Rock Festival organizers, the band dropped due to “health reasons”. But, to be more specific on the situation, this was due to a recent medical procedure for Vince Neil.

Alice In Chains is replacing Mötley Crüe in Saturday’s headlining spot.

The band gave this statement: “Vince’s health comes first and we fully support him in prioritizing his recovery. Please join us in wishing him well. We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the show and appreciate your understanding. Our friends Alice In Chains are confirmed to take our place on May 17th and we are immensely grateful to them for stepping up and bringing their awesome show to Boardwalk Rock. Thank you to all the Crüeheads for your continued support. We can’t wait for Vince to fully recuperate and to be back on stage again soon.”

Well, there you have it. We are sending healing vibes to Vince and encourage you to still check out Boardwalk Rock if you’re on the east coast, as there are still larger-than-life acts on the list. Get your tickets here.
