The Emerald Cup is just around the corner, and if you’re just now hearing about it, it’s not too late! If you’re unfamiliar with this event, The Emerald Cup has been synonymous with setting the absolute highest standards for sustainable, sun-grown, outdoor cannabis and is the largest outdoor medicinal cannabis competition in the entire world. In it’s 11th year The Emerald Cup includes over 200 vendors of cannabis accessories, clothing and even supercharged soil, water and lamps to get the most out of your annual yield.
In additional to all the amazing, nationwide vendors that come together to the Sonoma County Fairgrounds once a year, a handful of speakers will be hitting the stage to discuss the magical herb including Martin A. Lee, an award-winning investigative journalist and author of several books including Smoke Signals: A Social History of Marijuana – Medical, Recreational and Scientific and director of Project CBS. Ed Rosenthal, the world’s leading expert on the cultivation of marijuana as well as author of the massively successful Marijuana Grower’s Handbook will also be behind the microphone.
With the wealth of knowledge in a single building, it wouldn’t be fair to not show the finest herb grown from the best of the best farmers. In 2013, The Emerald Cup received a whopping 250 flower entries, which so happen to be organically and outdoor grown. Last years winning flowers are as followed, with the grand prize winner receiving an all expense, two week vacation to Jamaica:
