Make sure to mark your calendars for April 16th and head on down to Orlando for the first-ever Florida Groves Festival! It will be the largest Florida cannabis-meets-music festival to date, with amazing reggae musicians coming to town like Roots of Creation, The Expendables and — all the way from Jamaica — Julian Marley & The Uprising to headline the night.
From smokin’ hot bands to smokin’ vendor villages, Florida Groves is where you want to be this April.
Also on the list is some of Florida’s finest reggae bands, starting off with some music from Lance-O (of Kulcha Shok), Jacksonville’s Honey Hounds and, of course, you can’t forget the local hometown band Kash’d Out! They will be featuring some perfect songs for the event, like one of their newest releases, “Way Too High For This”. I mean, at a cannabis event, that’s the goal, right?? Honey Hounds is a trio formed in 2015 that will be bringing a jamming rock-n-roll blues vibe; they are jumping on all kinds of big events coming up soon and growing fast, so make sure to check them out! Roots of Creation from New Hampshire is always a great show and kill it with their blaring horn section every time, adding a ‘jam band’ vibe into the mix. The aforementioned hometown local band Kash’d Out is also a Florida favorite and once they hit the stage, the sky will undoubtedly fill with a large cloud of smoke floating over as they rock the place. The high-energy set of The Expendables is one you will not want to miss. And, as mentioned, Julian Marley and his band The Uprising will finish off the night with some beautiful reggae music — as all the Marleys do. If you haven’t already heard Julian’s As I Am album from 2019, we highly recommend it, as well as his recently released a single, “People of the Country”!
This event will host over 100 vendors, along with a patient relief zone, live painting, glassblowing, a skaters’ village, food/drink options and even a full bar. With some of the best reggae music around and all the awesome vendors, this will be an epic event just in time for 4/20!
