Reggae and R&B artist MediSun returns with the smooth and soulful “Speak Love” single, premiering today only on Top Shelf Music ahead of its end of August release! Recorded last summer in the Massachusetts home studio of renowned producer and musician Moon Bain, MediSun combines his uplifting lyrics with an all-star cast of players: Teflon “Zinc Fence” on drums, Jah D on bass, Moon Bain on guitar (with further writing/arrangement credits!!) and the late Drew Keys on keyboards. It truly was a collaborative effort for the love of music and humanity at large.

MediSun continues, “In spite of the discomfort I was experiencing, I felt inspired to send a healing wave of sound into Iration and uplift the collective psyche of the planet.” He continues, “The therapeutic use of sound is the driving force behind all of the works, or bodies of work, on the horizon. Words can harm, deceive, divide and destroy. They can also heal, enlighten, unite and create. I aim to encourage people to choose the latter when speaking to self or others.”
MediSun within the song urges to “remember words can be weapons” — why cause others emotional harm? Just “speak love” as you go throughout this life. And, MediSun knows that this missive is harder said than done (pun intended). What we need to realize as a species is that we are all fragile — we all need inspiration, light and positivity from each other. We need validation. We need enlightenment. Or, perhaps, we just need to catch a break. Ease the lives of those around you with soft-spoken words and a kind heart.
