Los Angeles-based rocker Nadu returns with the first song off of his upcoming album 16, due out in February 2023. Top Shelf Music is proud to host the official premiere of the rising star’s “Good To Me” single ahead of its official release on October 21st, 2022.
“Good To Me” is a lo-fi/garage punk hit that is guaranteed to make you nod your head… and maybe even shed a tear.
The songs starts with a beautiful piano melody that quickly yields to Nadu’s signature synthy sound, paired perfectly with an energetic guitar line that pushes the song forward at break-neck speed and sets the stage for his hard-hitting vocals.
“‘Good To Me’ is about celebrating the joy of finally being in a trusting intimate place with a life partner — and, at the same time, being scared of losing that — because it is an unfamiliar feeling, explains Nadu. “The chorus and refrain ‘Be good to me // I can’t take it’ is alluding to that dichotomy of feeling. I wrote this song about being with my partner, who is still mad that I mentioned them ever having had ‘coffee breath’.”
