Blink is back! Following the survival of horrific life events such as a plane crash, a cancer diagnosis, friendship fallouts, a member departure and more; blink-182 is reemerging stronger than ever! It has been nine years since the trio performed live together. Coachella‘s back to back weekends was a great place to start!
On the night of April 13th, one day before week one of Cochella began, blink-182 announced on instagram that they were playing at the Sahara stage on April 14th. It was a nice surprise for pop punk fans.
On April 14th, Mark, Tom, and Travis performed an amazing 60 minute set. With a set time of 6:50 pm to 7:50 pm, the world welcomed the trio back as a magical Californian desert sunset painted the backdrop.
Their set began with the 2001: A Space Odyssey theme as they walked on stage. Delonge wore his “To the Stars” shirt from his own clothing brand and a blue backwards hat. Hoppus wore a 7-Eleven Pac-Man shirt, while Barker had no shirt at all.
After the first two tracks performed, Hoppus engaged with the crowd and said,
“Hi, we’re blink-182 … and there’s Tom.”
The crowd screamed in excitement as the trio welcomed the crowd to Coachella. In typical blink fashion Delonge and Hoppus made jokes and poked fun at each other throughout the show. Delonge gave the crowd love by waving his middle finger with a smirk. The humor, cockiness, and enthusiasm is back!
They sounded amazing and their set list is below.

- The Rock Show
- Man Overboard

- What’s My Age Again?

After the success of their one hour performance, blink-182 needed to be back asap. Unfortunately, April 23rds headliner, Frank Ocean, couldn’t perform so blink-182 stepped in.
During, week two Mark, Tom and Travis performed another amazing set for 65 minutes. This time, blink’s set was from 9:30pm to 10:35pm. They, again, sounded fantastic but made a few changes to the setlist.

The humor and jokes were exactly what fans would expect from the self-proclaimed “crappy punk rock” band. Hoppus looked very satisfied performing with his best friends again. He talked about receiving his cancer diagnosis two years ago and how grateful he is to now be cancer free and back on stage playing for everyone.
We are so happy to see them return and can’t wait for what’s in store for their massive tour beginning next week, on May 4th in Minneapolis!
