PREMIERE: Roots of Creation “They Love Each Other” Live at Jerry Jam

Stemming from their New Hampshire hometown, reggae-rock collective Roots of Creation has racked up many awards over the years for their unique sound and passionate approach to the music industry. Their last LP, Livin Free, even debuted at #1 on the Billboard Reggae and Relix/Jamband.com radio charts back in 2016! With several original albums under their belt since their 1999 inception, Roots of Creation has pivoted over the last year to give tribute to the first jam band that started it all –– that’s right, the epic and almighty Grateful Dead. Without the Dead, ‘jamming’ wouldn’t be what it is today! Thus, Roots of Creation took their band name literally in their full-length Grateful Dub album, recently released off Bombastic Records last March.

Without the Dead, ‘jamming’ wouldn’t be what it is today!

But, the Grateful Dub journey began long before the band teamed up with GRAMMY-winning producer and engineer Errol Brown to record the 12-track masterpiece! Roots of Creation have performed Dead covers on the road and Top Shelf Reggae is happy to premiere one of the banging singles from the new album in this live video performance of “They Love Each Other” at Jerry Jam 2015. The track, which features Miss Hayley Jane on the album, is one of the classic Grateful Dead anthems, complete with pleasant harmonies and psychedelic sound effects in between blaring horns and a cozy bubble organ. With the assembled crowd loving it, Roots of Creation celebrated “20 years of keepin’ the Dead ALIVE!” three years ago and continue to do so every day now that their Grateful Dub album has hit digital outlets. To catch the Grateful Dub Tour in action, look for Roots of Creation in a town near you (and this touring powerhouse will probably be there soon)!
