Slay Squad 111 sits down with Top Shelf at Welcome to Rockville 2023

We got to sit down with Slay Squad 111 after their show at Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida, sharing stages with Deftones, Rob Zombie, Slipknot, Godsmack, Pantera, Tool, Incubus, and so many more this weekend.

This ghetto metal rap artist creation is a force to be reckoned with.

Never have I ever met such a band with such intensity and calmness — all the same time. The six members of this band do not come to play games; they are focused on conquering with a global mindset and plans for touring nonstop in the future. Slay Squad 111 is from Los Angeles and will be known by all very soon. Their next heavy-hitting festival will be July 14th through 16th in Mansfield, OH for Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival, sharing stages with Volbeat, Hatebreed, Lamb of God, Suicide Silence and many more! I am damn sure these amazing badasses are going to wreck shit and bring the madness to this fest! I hope attendees are ready for these young men. Their live show will absolutely blow your mind!

Hey guys, thanks so much for sitting down with Top Shelf Music! So, what got you guys here? What inspired you?

  • SS: We have been through hell! Dads dying, stabbings, robberies, deaths, and then some.
  • This band is a product of real-life experiences. We grew up in the hood with the robberies, the killings, and hearing gunshots every night and not able to sleep because you don’t know where the cops are. At the end of the day, we enjoy metal, we enjoy punk, and hardcore!

That is amazing! Tell us your plans for this year and next!

  • What is so great about being in Slay Squad 111, at current time, we are at our highest.
  • We will always be leveling up and being at our highest.

You guys are so hungry aren’t you! You are so ready for this!

  • Yes, we are starving, lol!

Who would you guys like to tour with?

  • Metallica, Suicide Silence, Kanye West, Cindy Crawford, Playboy Cardi, and the list goes on! [Laughs] We have a lot to learn about ourselves and a lot of leveling up to do.

So, I have a weird question. Got any ghost stories? …

Watch the whole conversation above! These gents are respectful, hardworking, and will go far on this music path. They are — hands down — one of our top fave bands to watch, listen to, and hang out with! SLAY SQUAD 111 FOR LIFE BABY!
