SYTË starts fresh in “Up in the Air” video, feat. Qendresa
Kosovo band SYTË adds imagery to their latest vibey single “Up in the Air” in this brand new music video! Featuring Qendresa, the song explores one’s own limitations when it comes to quality of life. You have to do what’s right for you.
SYTË says move on (or, perhaps, return) to the place you are meant to be.
“You can take me to London // You can even take me to New York, too // But, my spirit is in Prishtinë,” sings SYTË frontwoman Nita Kaja. Wondering around urban streets and hanging out out building fire escapes, the band relishes in their newfound home. “So long, goodbye — for good, this time,” screams Kaja with a cathartic kick towards the past. Good riddance after “four years too long”.
Following SYTË’s 2020 Divine Computer release, “Up in the Air” music video brings renewed energy for the band into the new year. And, what a time for new beginnings after a global pandemic! Shot and edited by Lau, the artsy video proffers cinematic graininess… almost like being filmed on an old home recorder. Needless to say, nostalgia instantly abounds.
