BeachLife Festival drops massive waves for May 2026

Want some fun in the sun? We know you do. The dead of winter might be the coldest months of the year, but it’s also when spring festivals start heating up — one just happening to be the ultimate beachfront party you’ll ever experience.

On the sands of Redondo Beach, indie folk and reggae lovers are invited to annually converge for an unforgettable weekend of music and California culture under the early summer sun. Simply referred to by locals as BeachLife, this first-class weekend-long event brings together some of the biggest names in music, art, and (of course) surfing in celebration of everything SoCal has to offer.

And this year’s edition is simply NEXT LEVEL.

Coming back to the coastline on May 1st through the 3rd is BeachLife 2026 — the most incredible mashup of live music to date! We’re not joking. Since the fest’s first year (way back in the pre-COVID days of 2019), BeachLife has made a reputation of hosting top talent — we’re talking the likes of Sting, The Black Keys, Willie Nelson, Gwen Stefani, The Smashing Pumpkins, Bob Weir (RIP, good soul), among so many others. But, this year’s rundown might just take the cake (although it doesn’t include the band Cake… they played last year).

At the top of the list — headlining Friday — is 80s icons Duran Duran, alongside Millennial namesake The Chainsmokers. Talk about a hell of a party to set things off! Saturday goes more reggae-meets-punk rock with The Offspring B2B Slightly Stoopid (not overlooking insane direct support from names like Joan Jett and Ben Harper). Of course, festival staple Sugar Ray is back that Saturday, as well; it’s not a BeachLife party without Mark McGrath’s sweet blonde tips glinting in the sunshine… Sunday is all folk all the way, with none other than James Taylor closing the fest down, backed by an all-star band at night (it could be anybody!!). Before the main even is My Morning Jacket and Sheryl Crow returning for another round in Redondo after annihilating performances from previous years.

Literally, this festival takes place IN THE SAND, loaded with nautical themes for the bougey Captain’s Pass-holders (if you can afford it, we highly recommend doing it). Other upgrades for the ultimate festival experience includes VIP ticket options as well as canopy rentals (perfect for lounging with a bigger crew on the beach). The music is split between four stages, with the Speakeasy Stage in the way back spotlighting acoustic sets from up-and-coming names alongside veteran artists (one of which is festival co-founder Jim Lindberg of Pennywise!!).

If you aren’t convinced to be there yet, check out the many unique and fun things to do at the festival via their website or the official 2025 aftermovie below. Let the FOMO ensue. While you’re on the site, check out various ticket levels on sale now. Not only that but, if you’re in the Orange County area, the party is already starting for 2026 this weekend, with the BeachLife crew throwing an official lineup announcement party this Saturday, January 17th at the California Surf Club – North Grill  from 5-7pm. BeachLife 2026 tracks will be spinning, passes will be raffled off, and the first 50 guests get their first round of drinks ON THE HOUSE. What more can you ask for? So, come hang loose, pop up, and jump all in — the BeachLife 2026 waters are warm!
