Fall Out Boy sprinkles So Much For (Tour) Dust over LA

The first of two sold-out shows at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles for the So Much For (Tour) Dust Tour proved to be an unforgettable night of music and energy on July 2nd, 2023. Featuring a lineup including Fall Out Boy, Bring Me The Horizon, New Found Glory, and Royal and the Serpent, the stage was set for an epic evening of diverse sounds and powerhouse performances.

Kicking off the night was Royal and the Serpent, the breakout artist known for her recent releases and captivating stage presence. Ryan Santiago, also known as “RATS,” treated the audience to a mesmerizing set that included her popular singles “overwhelmed.” and “BETTER”. Her performance reached new heights with an incredible rendition of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” showcasing her range and ability to make a classic song her own.

Next, pop-punk icons New Found Glory took the stage and delivered a heartfelt and energetic performance.

Despite guitarist Chad Gilbert battling cancer, the band’s resilience and dedication were evident as they powered through fan favorites such as “Don’t Let Her Pull You Down” and the cult classic “My Friends Over You”. Gilbert’s fashionable recliner on stage allowed him to take well-deserved breaks without compromising the band’s dynamic presence.

Bring Me The Horizon continued to elevate the atmosphere with their signature heavy sound and electrifying stage presence. Frontman Oliver Sykes commanded the stage as they opened their set with the powerful single “AmEN!” from their upcoming release, “Post Human: NeX GEn”. The band’s performance was a rollercoaster of emotions, ranging from the intense energy of “Happy Song” to the heartfelt melodies of “Can You Feel My Heart”. The explosive finale of their top hit “Throne” left the crowd in awe.

As the headliners of the night, Fall Out Boy proved why they have remained a force in the music industry.

Supporting their latest album, So Much For (Star) Dust, the band ignited the stage with an explosive performance of their hit single “The Pink Seashell”. The addition of actual flamethrowers and bassist Pete Wentz shooting flames from his guitar created an unparalleled visual spectacle. From nostalgic hits like “Sugar We’re Going Down” to the energetic “Uma Thurman,” Fall Out Boy took fans on a journey through their extensive discography, showcasing every era of their career.

The So Much For (Tour) Dust Tour left no doubt that it is a must-see show of the summer. With a lineup featuring legends, breakout artists, and unforgettable performances, the energy and talent on display were truly exceptional. As the tour continues across North America, fans can expect an unforgettable night of music, camaraderie, and a celebration of the power of live performances.
