Rayne Johnson gets Erie, PA pumped up for Trace Adkins
The snow was blowing and temps were falling. But that didn’t stop people from piling in the historic Warner Theater, in downtown Erie, PA. Legendary country star Trace Adkins was performing live with special guest, Rayne Johnson. The highly anticipated show kicked off with Johnson performing some of his most notable songs. Johnson is an upcoming country star, who climbed the billboard country charts with his single ” Front Seat.”  Johnson passed an audition for American Idol but was eliminated early in the proceedings. It is plainly obvious that despite the American Idol snub his career is well on its way to stardom. He left the stage with the crowd pumped up and in a country music mood.
Trace Adkins came out to his song “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing.”
In his 25-year career in country music, Adkins has sold over 11 million albums, charted over 20 singles, earned numerous awards and grammy nominations, and garnered over two billion streams.
Adkins is also a TV star, as he was on The Celebrity Apprentice back in 2008. And in 2019 he became the host of the new series on INSP, Ultimate Cowboy Showdown. Throughout the show, Adkins interacted with the crowd and talked about the songs and where he was in his life when writing them. He played more fan favorites like “You’re Gonna Miss This”, “Ladies Love Country Boys,” “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” and ended with “The Way I wanna Go.” Overall, throughout the night the vibe felt relaxed and not too overwhelming. Just a night out listening to some live country music, sipping a beer and connecting with fellow minded music fans. Adkins performed very well and still sounds amazing after all these years. Many fans left with a smile and said they would love to see him back in Erie. I certainly hope it’s not too long before we see him again.
