Slightly Stoopid headlines San Diego’s Petco Park

On September 11th, Slightly Stoopid took over Petco Park in San Diego. They were supported by Boostive, The Elovaters and Thievery Corporation, with live painting by artist Jimmy Ovadia. Stoopid shows are always a party, but they are extra fun when at their home in San Diego, and this show was no exception. Walking around the venue, it was like a family reunion of friends — some of whom I hadn’t seen in a couple of years!

Everyone was smiling and excited with anticipation of this massive show.

Boostive started the music for the night, getting the crowd dancing and moving. Then, The Elovaters hit the stage and continued the energy. Next up, was Uncle Don Carlos, who was joined onstage by young Kailash. I was really impressed by Kailash! Thievery Corporation was next up. They are always a fun band to see, with multiple singers and style changes, it’s an amazing set. Then, it was time for the hometown heroes Slightly Stoopid to come out. As usual, Stoopid did not disappoint, with an amazing high-energy set that every person in the crowd sang along to. They were joined on the stage by the Marlon “Ganja Farmer” Asher, Chali 2na, Kailash and more.
