After selling out the last four years in Sacramento and welcoming a crowd of over 60,000 people, Aftershock Festival has expanded to three days and will include some of the biggest names in metal, punk rock and alternative music. This year’s headliners will feature Slipknot, Stained, Korn, Blink 182, Rob Zombie, Tool, Dropkick Murphys, Lamb of God, A Day to Remember, Gojira, Sum 41, Motionless in White, I Prevail, Marilyn Manson, The Interrupters, Bad Religion… and that’s just to name a few.
Last year, Aftershock sold out a whole two months before the event!

Danny Wimmer (producer of Aftershock among other notable alternative festivals, such as Rock on the Range, Northern Invasion, Sonic Temple, etc.) has truly set the bar for rock festivals in California. Everything is clearly well thought out. Danny and the Aftershock team seem to remember everything to make the patron experience comfortable and enjoyable. Discovery Park is a prime location for a festival, as it has more than adequate space to dance, space to park and plenty of bathrooms. Plus, there’s the overwhelming lineup that goes along with it:
Aftershock features vegan, gluten free, hallal, as well as all the delicious fried festival foods we look forward to. Aftershock will further feature a beer and wine garden, on top of a Monster Energy tent to keep you alert and ready to mosh it out! Be sure to stop by the BroilerMaker pop-up tent where they will be featuring Metallica’s special edition Blackened Whiskey and Enternight Pilsner. This will be the only place in the festival to get these drinks. The BroilerMaker pop-up will also feature a full bar to include cocktails and various beer options.
