Earlier this morning, The Green teased its fans on social media that a new song will be made available later in the day. Not surprisingly, the great news left fans salivating at the thought of brand new music from their favorite island reggae band – new music that fans have been without since the release of their LP Hawaii ’13 almost a full three years ago. The Green lived up to their promise and released the streaming track on their website with the option of “Naming your own price” to digitally own The Green’s latest. Spreading the Aloha throughout the digital channels, The Green is now on everyone’s mind. If today’s news wasn’t enough to contain, you might want to sit down. The Green has announced that they’ve been in the studio working on their fourth album.
The track curiously showed off The Green’s soulful side and somewhat atypical sounds for the group, including elusive horn lines that can be heard throughout, minimal EDM-style buildup and effects. With that said, “Roots” is still concise and consistent with The Green’s classic and well loved sound.
