Vermont alternative reggae rockers Twiddle released their new double album PLUMP – Chapters 1 & 2 on April 28th that features a collection of tracks that have been reshaped by mastermind Ron St. Germaine (Bad Brains and 311) including the lead single “When It Rains It Pours.” The second disc however, is a collection of brand new, insanely catchy productions.
The first single “When It Rains It Pours” puts its best foot forward
Twiddle has recharged its sound with its latest offerings. The new set finds the band turning out irresistible instrumentals and ultra-catchy vocal chants that enliven its radio-friendly alternative sound. The first single “When It Rains It Pours” puts its best foot forward and melds scratchy drums with a sweeping mix of bass and piano. During “Moments,” an uplifting reggae inspired gem complete with horns and heavy bass, Twiddle’s frontman Mihali Savoulidis defends his songwriting abilities when he sings “No other people can spoil my mood, a life without music can be lonely.” PLUMP boasts enough intertwining alternative and reggae melodies backed with anthemic vocals to show fans that Twiddle can deliver more additive hooks while still maintaining its own graceful and introspective sound.
Twiddle will be making appearances on the summer festival circuit including performances at Bonnaroo and Camp Bisco as well as headlining four sets at Tumble Down, the band’s own two day festival in Burlington, VT.
