Ice Nine Kills releases video for “The Shower Scene”

Horror fans, rejoice! Ice Nine Kills has released a new video for “The Shower Scene” to continue their Sliver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood anthology. Naturally, the music video (and song) is based on the Alfred Hitchcock film, Psycho.

This movie is a classic, so I won’t go into what it is about; if you are a horror movie fan and haven’t seen Psycho yet, what are you doing with your life? Watch it, it’s a horror masterpiece. Ice NIne Kills copies the film’s black and white aesthetic in the new video — something that I instantly got giddy about upon seeing. It feels as if I was watching a more twisted version of Psycho.

Spencer Charnas plays a perfect Norman Bates.

I usually never get scared by Ice Nine Kills videos, but this one scared me a lot; I was shaking throughout the whole nine minutes of this video! The fact that Charnas and the band were able to make me hide in my shirt just proves how authentic this band is… it is unreal. The mix between acting and music is what makes this band such a joy to listen to, too. Ice Nine Kills is a band that is both terrifying and fun, so watch this video for yourself. Just “don’t mind mother… she is not well. The doctors say she’s not all there…” And, make a reservation for yourself at the Bates Motel. They “always have a room to spare”! Just be careful — you never know what strange happenings may occur during your stay. You don’t want to upset mother.
