Pepper invades Long Beach’s Fingerprints Records

A meet-and-greet is always an exemplary time with your favorite artists. Now, add in the insanity that comes with the territory of all three rowdy, ridiculous members of Pepper in an intimate setting, such as a mid-sized record store in Long Beach, and you’ve got quite an evening. Fingerprints Records, a beacon of light for purists everywhere, welcomed the reggae-rock trio to the makeshift stage on Saturday, August 10th, allowing a brief performance before attendees were encouraged to line up for signatures. Kaleo Wassman, Bret Bollinger and Yesod Williams were able to browse the album aisles before reporting for duty onstage, snagging some favorite records off the shelves as they went.

The acoustic style performance was unorthodox for Pepper followers, accustomed to watching the Pepper boys bounce all around the stage during a live set. All was good though, for the band wears many hats. After the performance, Pepper started signing copies of their latest album, Local Motion, in both vinyl and CD form. Fans were bearing gifts for the boys, a bottle of Jaegermeister and hand-drawn portraits, among other items. In true Ohana fashion, the Pepper boys were stoked to accept it all, posing for pictures with their loyal music following.
