It’s the 10th Annual Governors Ball, folks, a staple of early June with its enormous, larger than life lineup and amenities positioned due east of Harlem at Randall’s Island Park. And, this year is going to be the greatest yet.
The Gov Ball is known to attract the biggest mainstream names to the stage and this summer is no exception. Stretching three days of music June 5th through the 7th and presented by Founders Entertainment, Governors Ball 2020 welcomes Tame Impala, Miley Cyrus, Stevie Nicks, Flume, Ellie Goulding, Vampire Weekend, Missy Elliott, Solange, Rüfüs Du Sol and H.E.R. to headline! Usually, festivals announce full lineups intentionally leaving out which days the assigned artists are performing in order to boost weekend pass sales. Daily rundowns are left for the month or two before when single-day tickets become available. Not at this fest. The Gov Ball knows you will want to be there all three days, evident in their decision to reveal daily lineups and pushing single day tickets alongside weekend passes when all became available for purchase last week. That said, each day’s itinerary looks downright INSANE. Friday not only has Tame, Stevie Nicks and Miley, but furthermore proffers Foals, Khruangbin, Banks, Danny Brown, Alessia Cara, Madeon, Pink Sweat$, Snail Mail, Cuco, Tones And I, Muna, Nancy Whang (of LCD Soundsystem), Sasha Sloan, Frankie Cosmos, Maxo Kream, Chase Atlantic, Nasty Cherry, Kota The Friend and Poppy Jean Crawford. Not bad at all to kick off the first day of three!
Saturday, the party intensifies with Portugal. The Man, Carly Rae Jepsen, Of Monsters And Men, Bleachers, Gryffin, Steve Lacy, Earthgang, Oliver Tree, Pinegrove, Alec Benjamin, Pup, Poolside, Slowthai, Jay Som, Charlotte Lawrence, Max, Laundry Day, CHIIILD and Almost Monday joining the aforementioned headlining trio of Flume, Vampire Weekend and Ellie Goulding.

Being a milestone year, The Governors Ball is naturally upping their promises. Faster lines, private Wi-fi, dedicated restroom attendees and complimentary water will be provided for all VIP pass holders.
