Mondo Cozmo sells out The Hi-Hat in Los Angeles
You wouldn’t have believed it was a Thursday night, as anxious fans lined up outside The Hi-Hat in Los Angeles on February 6th, 2020 to see the fantastic Mondo Cozmo. The evening kicked off with an energetic and charismatic performance from Aussie/LA transplant Andy Clockwise, sharing with fans his vast and eclectic sound. With his vocals carrying hints of the likes of Bob Dylan, David Bowie & Simon Le Bon, as well as musical shades of Nick Cave and Pixies, Clockwise entertained and engaged the crowd in a brilliant performance. Performing singles like “Issues” (that will be re-released on February 28th) and the band’s latest release “Money, Power, Sex and Fame”, Clockwise joined the crowd extending hugs to fans. Look for their new album, War Stories, due out this year!

Next up was the beautifully haunting and intoxicating Poppy Jean Crawford, who charmed the crowd with her unique guitar playing and alt-goth-rock sound. The LA-based DIY musician — who has been influenced by great female writer and performers like PJ Harvey, Portishead and Bjork — shared songs like “Same Old Tricks” from her recent EP release, JEANJEANIE.
Marking the highly-anticipated return of Mondo Cozmo in a sold-out appearance, the band returned to the place where it all started with their first live performance that took place October 2016. Celebrating the success of their latest single “Come On” from the new album New Medicine, Josh Ostrander and his talented band also debuted their new single “Mercy”. You could feel the joy of the crowd as they sang along with fan-favorite songs like “Generator”, “Come On” and “Shine”. Be sure to catch them on their limited city tour, happening now!
