The west coast’s biggest rock festival, Aftershock, is returning to Discovery Park this October 6th through 9th! And, 2022 is aiming to be the biggest edition of the festival yet by expanding to four days, adding a fourth stage and featuring over 90 bands!
After last year’s attendance of 145,000, this year is looking to break even more records.
The lineup for 2022 is seriously stacked! We’re talking My Chemical Romance, Slipknot, KISS, Muse, Rob Zombie, Shinedown, Papa Roach, Evanescence, Lamb of God, Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember, Nothing More, Stone Temple Pilots, Chevelle, Halestorm, Architects, Falling In Reverse, Yungblud, Bad Religion, The Pretty Reckless, Ghostmane, Beartooth, Motionless In White, Ice Nine Kills, The Struts, Spiritbox, Killswitch Engage, Crown The Empire, In Flames, Fever333, Thrice, Lilith Czar and so many more!!
Foo Fighters were scheduled to play the closing night of the festival, but canceled all of their upcoming tour dates following the unfortunate sudden passing of the band’s longtime drummer, Taylor Hawkins. Muse will now be standing in for them. Muse frontman Matt Bellamy says, “It’s been too long and we can’t wait to come back to northern California and headline Aftershock on Sunday, October 9th in Sacramento!”
In addition to performances from top music artists, Aftershock is providing an incredible lineup of food and beverage options to this year’s festival! Fest-goers will be able to enjoy the taste of Sacramento’s best, as well as some fest favorites that you won’t want to miss! Some of the onsite attractions include The Loud Lounge, which is featuring KOLAS, Clown Cannabis, California’s Finest CBD, Heavy Grass, Dr. Greenthumbs, Helpful Hemp and more. The Blackened Bar will be featuring Metallica’s Blackened Whiskey: a premium American whiskey blend, crafted by the late Master Distiller, Dave Pickerell. Mortus Viventi is a clothing company fighting for the rights of musicians by invoking change within the music industry. They will be debuting 10 new tarot card designs and will also be doing tarot card readings, so make sure to stop by!
