Some festivals are just destined to be revolutionary. One such music and arts weekend event is in its third year along the sandy shores of southern California’s Lake Perris (albeit, skipping the year that shall not be named). That’s right, the funky monkey crunchy radical bunchy folk of Same Same But Different Festival plans to return on schedule for fall, becoming the first camping festival to return in the state of California and cementing this feat with a STACKED lineup.
Same Same But Different is everything you’ve ever wanted in a festival, only tucked away in an exclusive oasis that Coachella kids don’t know about yet.
Announced for September 9th-12th, SSBD will hold its third installment of raw weirdness, complete with camping, yoga, live art, workshops, costumes, pool floaties, late night raves, at least one shaman, hammocks, dancers, things you can climb on, things you can swing on, things you can swim in, disco balls, people dancing with corn, light shows, indigenous ceremonies, and, well, anything else you can think of under the sun. We’re not kidding… all is welcome, all is loved at SSBD.
And, that’s not even mentioning the massive lineup the fest just dropped! SSBD 2021 is going to be more lit than a Griswald Christmas, with Big Gigantic and STS9 headlining! If that wasn’t enough, this party train will also include Clozee, The Polish Ambassador, LSDream, Boombox, The Motet, J. Worra, Gene Farris, Moontricks and beyond. Capyac, Dirtwire and Cofresi are making a triumphant return, as well as Megan Hamilton, Boostive and festival co-producer Peter Eichar’s band, MDRN HSTRY.
With more artists to be announced, you clearly do not want to sleep on this funk meets EDM meets a whole other dimension kind of get-down. Tickets go on sale This Friday, April 9th. For more information, visit the links below or go to www.ssbdfest.com.
