If he’s not slaying the keyboards with Stick Figure, Hawaii’s KBong is livin’ it up creating his own music in whatever spare time he had. In his newly released single and music video for the new track “Easy To Love You,” KBong teams up with The Movement to up the ante. The new track is taken from KBong’s forthcoming album, scheduled to be released August 24th.
The combination of vocals blends seamlessly into attractively layered harmonies
In “Easy To Love You,” KBong, Joshua Swain and Gary Jackson trade off vocals, showcasing their different but strong vocal styles. Swain sings with an edgy, raw emotion contrasting with KBong’s laid back, high-reaching upper range. The combination of vocals blends seamlessly into attractively layered harmonies that escalate throughout the track.
From the opening vocal to the last electrifying verse, there is an underlying intense conviction with every word sung. KBong drives home powerful lyrics that is like a viewport into an internal dialog of what his instincts are telling him about that special someone. The words create some interesting visuals that communicate this, for example, the line “You’re the woman I’ve been searching for. Got everything I could need and give me so much more.”
KBong has a definite winner with “Easy To Love You,” and as a preview of his new music, makes it well worth the wait for the release of the new album just around the corner. This talented musician should definitely be on your radar.
