Jack Johnson turns Hollywood Bowl upside down
On October 1st, Jack Johnson and two openers took the stage at The Hollywood Bowl, ready to entertain a packed house of fans. The night started out with a groovy and soulful performance from Ron Artis II and Thunderstorm Artis. Hailing from Hawaii, Artis set the tone of a music-filled night of swaying and getting lost under the stars.
Next up was the Boston-based Lake Street Dive, with impressive lead vocals by Rachael Price, who weaved through some old hits, but really flooring the audience with new hits and covers from their newest EP album, Fun Machine: The Sequel.
When Jack Johnson took the stage, the audience erupted.
The mood was set for a relaxing night of hits new and old, hybrid covers and even special guest performances. Jack took us through a 30-song setlist and funny storytelling, with guest appearances from Paula Fuga, Ron Artis II and Lake Street Dive, performing a Tom Petty classic!
All in all, if you came to reminisce on nostalgic songs and be introduced to exciting new singles, this was the perfect show. Jack Johnson never disappoints!
