WORLD VIDEO PREMIERE: Katchafire “100”
New Zealand roots-reggae rockers Katchafire brings another track to life off their latest LEGACY LP in this world video premiere of “100”. As an ode to family, the video for the single starts with footage from Katchafire tours: rolling down the Las Vegas Strip, seeing “Katchafire” on a big marquee, roaming random downtown streets and standing on neighborhood rooftops of Anywhere, USA. As life on the road unfurls day over day, Katchafire reminisces on family memories as they count down to returning home after an extended tour stretch. For making me strong enough to handle this lifestyle, “I can’t thank you enough,” lead singer Logan Bell praises his mother. Every day, I keep it optimistic – “keep it 100” for you.
Either home or away, Katchafire puts family first.
Distance from the ones you love doesn’t just make the heart grow fonder; it creates a void that’s hard to fill. “I miss your smile… miss your food,” Bell lists as he stands ankle-deep in the white water of home shores. To do what you’re passionate about in this life, sometimes you have to turn your back on those closest to you in order to accomplish great things. Family has to be put on standby. In the statement “[we’re] out here spreading the truth”, Katchafire members know that the effort is ultimately worth the sacrifice. The video directed by Rio Panapa (with additional footage contributed by Logan Bell) features a juxtaposition of Katchafire members building their own family on the road against images of the whole Katchafire clan reunited in NZ at the end. Either home or away, Katchafire puts family first. Speaking of touring, make sure to grab your tickets for upcoming shows before they sell out!
