Yeehaw, it’s OFFICIAL! The 2022 Austin City Limits Festival (ACL) lineup is here and it’s impressive. Like past years, the headliners are an eclectic mix and wide-ranging, from new-to-the scene artists to billboard chart-toppers to veteran bands that have been rocking festival circuits for years. Given the prowess and clout of ACL and its history, combined with Austin being the live music capitol of the world, it’s no surprise that this year’s lineup is a true fusion of genres, bands and top artists, plucked from the best festivals throughout the world.
The festival will span the second and third weekend of October 2022 in Zilker Park, with the gorgeous Austin skyline as a backdrop.
In 2021, we saw the return of major festivals throughout the US and, while it was a relief to finally have music back, there was still some hesitancy amongst festival-goers to go all-in, as well as some hiccups in festival artist bookings. Given all this, we’re predicting October in Austin will be back to its normal buzzing self, with enthusiastic fans eager to celebrate and rejoice at the iconic Austin City Limits Festival.
Headlining both weekends are Paramore, Lil Nas X, Kacey Musgraves, SZA, Red Hot Chili Peppers, P!nk and The Chicks. Additional top-of-the ticket artists across both weekends include Diplo, Zhu, The War on Drugs, Nathaniel Rateliff, Spoon and Sofi Tukker! Be sure to choose your weekend wisely, as ACL has some artists that are exclusive to one weekend over the other.
Across the nine stages on Weekend One are some big names! You’ll be able to catch James Blake, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kevin Morby, Manchester Orchestra and Goth Babe — just to name a few. For Weekend Two, you may know our indie rock friends from France, Phoenix or the pop punk rockstar from the UK, Yungblud. Additionally, there is Jake Bugg, Princess Nokia, Neil Frances, Tom Odell, Wallows, Lil Durk, Billy Strings, and so many others. Regardless of which you attend, both weekends have plenty to choose from.
