Leeds Festival ready to rivet the UK for 2022

Leeds Festival 2022 will take place on Friday the 26th through Sunday the 28th this August at Bramham Park in Leeds. This is one half of the iconic Reading and Leeds Festivals that takes place over the bank holiday weekend. This festival duo is known for having the same lineups and similar festival activities — just taking place on different days of the weekend in each respective city.

Headlining performances are scheduled from Rage Against the Machine, Arctic Monkeys, Dave, Bring Me The Horizon, Megan Thee Stallion and Halsey. Also performing are Polo G, Little Simz, Glass Animals, All Time Low, Wolf Alice, Jack Harlow, Run The Jewels, Maneskin, Bastille and many more.

The festival first took place in 1999 and continues to go on after it was canceled in 2020.

Leeds Festival returned post-COVID in 2021 at full capacity. In 2021, the festival incorporated two main stages rather than just one (in addition to the smaller stages), so that no headliners would clash throughout the weekend. The 2022 edition will operate the same way, with both Main Stage East and Main Stage West, as well as smaller stages BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage, Festival Republic Stage, BBC Radio 1XTRA Stage and the BBC Introducing Stage.

Historically, the festival has gone through many different musical phases over the years, but rock, alternative, indie, punk and metal have been the main genres that have been featured in the lineup. This year’s lineup is one of the ‘trendiest’ in the festival’s history, with more pop featured in comparison to any other year.

Big Green Coach will be providing coach transportation options from 40 different cities from around the UK, directly to the festival grounds. All coaches are scheduled to arrive prior to doors of the festival opening and will return after all music has finished. There are single-day transfer options from a short list of locations. Big Green Coach claims to be the company that “broke the record for the most number of coach customers to Leeds Festival. We have transported more coach customers to Leeds than anyone else!”

All weekend tickets are now sold out, with a limited number of day tickets available. The only source for resale tickets that Leeds suggests is Ticketmaster’s Fan2Fan Ticket Exchange. Any tickets sold via other platforms may not be valid for the event. You can still purchase Camping Plus tickets, which grant you access to a private campsite area with 24-hour reception and security, proper toilets, warm showers and a pamper area with blow dryers, hair straighteners and mirrors.

You must have a valid Weekend Festival Ticket in order to use the accommodation.

Extras that are still available include Refresh Retreat Lounge access, luxury showers, luxury toilets, rentable lockers, portable charging and car park passes. The Gold packages are still available, which grants you access to all of the amenities listed above.

This is an all-ages festival, but anyone under the age of 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 13 years are admitted free. For more information regarding festival tickets, add ons, camping and coach services, visit the Leeds’ website or via the links below.
